Theme:  AMS.Operations Product Implementation Client:  Natural Gas Liquids Marketer with Gas Plants and Loading Rack Facilities Business Problem:  The client’s legacy system performed some of the business functions while spreadsheets and disparate systems took up the slack.  Data was often keyed into multiple systems, multiple times.  Inventory was difficult to balance each month.  There were also Sarbanes-Oxley compliance issues to overcome. What Provante did: Implemented the AMS.Operations product which provides an integrated system for: Managing contracts Managing price postings Scheduling trucks, railcar, and pipeline movements Managing inventory Managing receivables and payables Managing laboratory analysis results Implemented the AMS.Rack product at the truck and rail loading racks which: Integrates with the SCADA systems for weight and temperature readings Receives tickets from AMS.Operations as they are scheduled Captures the loading or unloading information at the rack Prints required documents at the rack locations Returns the acquired information to AMS.Operations for inventory and accounting processing Client Results:  Enhanced productivity:  the client has tripled its throughput without any staffing increases Improved accuracy in inventory and accounting Results are now auditable and the enhanced security model ensures only authorized users are using the system’s features The loading rack can operate even when the connection to the network is down, thanks to the standalone rack application and its caching of tickets as they are scheduled
